How DVC rentals work — and when to book
Disney Vacation Club members own points they can rent to non-members. You pay the owner (usually through a broker) a price per point, and get a regular Disney resort reservation — often well below Disney's cash rate.
- Owners have points they won't use. Disney Vacation Club owners rent their unused points to guests through a broker or marketplace.
- You pay per point. A stay costs its points times the per-point price, typically $20 to $35 depending on resort and timing. Use our tracker and calculator.
- Book 11 to 7 months out for choice. Owners can book their home resort at 11 months and any resort at 7. Popular villas fill early.
- Look for confirmed reservations inside 4 months. Owners discount bookings already made, often the cheapest per point.
- Know the rules. Disney's 2026 commercial-use policy and lead-guest rules apply; read the broker's cancellation terms.
